I'm just going to keep it as is for now, but that's just a thought and that's a common trick that people use as squinting, viewing it at a smaller scale, not just the block, but many blocks so that you can really get a feel for how it's repeating. Since you're working in Photoshop, these elements are not vector like they would be in illustrator, so it makes it harder to change the color and vector.
