Although I had bookmarked The Interview for a viewing some months ago, it was only having my memory jogged by this excellent Adam Cook list that caused me to finally get round to watching it. Throughout this viewing, it was pretty difficult to hold back comparisons to the brilliant The Offence simply because of the format of the film and the way the film swings around at one point to place the focus on those who should be doing the questioning rather than the man they are supposed to be questioning. And the bozos also didn't give me a job either. Get the freshest reviews, news, and more delivered right to your inbox!

eerie, atmospheric slow-burn...I appreciated the music and camera angles tied in with the morally ambiguous premise, and the acting was top notch, that said, there was never really a “wow!” moment or a “o I see what they did there” appreciation, which I think the film would have benefited from. I owned a VHS copy and was always excited to show friends and family that our country could produce gems that could compete on the world stage, but sadly this film has long been forgotten and it wasn't even until 13 years after it's initial release that it actually got a DVD release here in Oz. The Interview is an underrated Australian gem and a brilliantly taut thriller which keeps the audience on their toes from beginning to end. Unfortunately it just continues to losing steam all the way through despite how good Weaving is, and by the end I was just left a thought of well that was the point?

The story….

One of the things I love about Netflix is the thing a lot of people, like my parents, like to shit on: their film selection.

| Rating: 3/5, October 6, 2003 I enjoyed it as it went on, but the ending just didn't kill it. Nothing about this film stands out as being particularly good, with the possible exception of the acting.

Nothing to complain about, I didn't feel like it was a waste of time or anything.

Still liked it though, don't get me wrong. Just below that it reads "Ticket Confirmation#:" followed by a 10-digit number. We want to hear what you have to say but need to verify your email.

Amazing detective film that is set entirely in the station it’s a shame that it shares a name with a more infamous film due to its controversy , Hugo weaving is thrilling in the performance and the lead detective is thrilling yet annoying to watch due to his leads and efforts in the film not leading to any justice due to the suspect being manipulative.
